It’s not every day that a school-aged kid even plays chess, much less come up with a brilliant new variation that is taking Chess Clubs by storm.
Gabe began playing chess by joining the chess club at school in second grade. When he was nine, while driving to school one day he said, “I have an idea for a new game! Zombie Chess!”
If you play a game and win
After working with a dear friend to perfect the rules, he was ready to approach local patent attorneys. The attorneys loved his idea so much, that they became his first partners on the project. Once the patent was filed, he began working with a team from UNM and Sandia Labs to develop the first BETA application.
